Lenovo has officially unveiled the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, a groundbreaking rollable OLED laptop that offers users a flexible display expanding from 14 inches to 16.7 inches. This innovative laptop is designed to provide more screen real estate on demand, with a smooth rolling mechanism controlled either by a key press or a simple hand gesture to the webcam. The rollable screen, developed by Samsung, unfolds seamlessly with the help of small motors embedded in the hinge, taking about 10 seconds to fully extend. When unrolled, the display resolution increases from 2000 by 1600 pixels to 2000 by 2350 pixels, maintaining a vibrant 120Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of brightness.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 works with the latest Core Ultra 7 Series 2 Intel processor and admits up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with 1 TB of SSD storage, which makes it a powerful option for productivity and multitasking. The flexible OLED screen of the laptop is classified for durability, after having submitted at least 30,000 cover openings and 20,000 screen roll extensions or retractions to guarantee long-term reliability. The additional screen area allows users to stack two Windows 16 by 9 vertically, improving the workflow, especially for commercial users who require a lot of space on screen for coding, editing documents, or media consumption.
Lenovo has integrated a patented software to optimize the extended screen, since Windows treats the expanded part as a second monitor, which limits the native window at the bottom. The connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5 mm headphones connector, while the laptop runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The elegant device weighs approximately 1.55 kilograms and presents a 66WH battery designed to balance the feed with the compact roller mechanism.
