
India invests ₹ 500 million to establish the center of excellence in the education for education
In the 2025-26 Union Budget, the Indian government announced substantial financing of ₹ 500 million to launch an excellence center dedicated to artificial intelligence in the education sector. This initiative aims to promote innovation through the development of solutions based on personalized learning experiences, evaluations enabled for AI, and virtual educational environments. The Mission of the Center is aligned with the National Educational Policy of India, focusing on the improvement of skills and academic reform to equip students with AI and vital digital technology skills for future careers.
AI to Transform Education and Skill Building in India
The newly established Centre of Excellence in AI for Education will focus on creating adaptive learning tools tailored to individual student needs, thereby revolutionizing both teaching and assessment methods. The government envisions that AI will close existing learning gaps while supporting real-time, customized learning pathways, improving overall employability prospects.
